" I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness. "
What is righteousness? It is having right actions, right attitudes, and right relationships - all based on our right standing with God. When he forgives us, takes away our sin, and restores us as his children, he not only gives us his righteousness, but he also empowers us to demonstrate it to others.
Isaiah 42:6 NRSV

" Then you shall know at last that I am the Lord your God in Zion, my holy mountain. "
The last word will be God's; his ultimate sovereignty will be revealed in the end. We cannot predict when that end will come, but we can have confidence in his control over the world's events. The world's history, as well as our own, is in God's hands. How much better to acknowledge this now rather than later.
